Snagging Inspection
The inspection carried out on a newly constructed or renovated property before handing it over to the owner is called a snagging inspection. Its main purpose is to identify any flaws or defects and rectify them before considering the property complete. This inspection is intended to provide a satisfactory condition for the property before handing it over to the owner, ensuring the safety of the property and giving the owner peace of mind while moving in.

De-snagging involves verifying that the issues listed in the snagging report have been fixed and that no additional damage was caused during the repair process. Once the builder has reassured you that they have addressed all of the repairs, we will schedule a visit to inspect your property to ensure that everything has been completed in accordance with the snagging report.
Our team will also use thermal imagery in the inspection to pinpoint the underlying issues within your building. This method is both efficient and time-saving for all parties involved. Building thermography depends on detecting insulation defects by utilising the stark contrast between indoor and outdoor temperatures. Most of our snagging surveys take place during the colder months or following periods of strong sunlight.
